My wife is now promoted. It is a standard procedure in any government office that they do background checks to incoming employees. Though my wife is already in the government hospital for more than 10 years now, they still need to check her background again just for filing purposes and documents. Anyway, she filled up her forms to submit to the intelligence unit and I am pretty sure one of the contacts she put in the form will be contacted. My parents and even people at home might be interviewed unexpectedly soon or they might just give the clearance without even investigating. I’m 99% sure that the latter will happen since my wife has a very good background. Anyway, I am mighty proud of her and this promotion is way long overdue, in my opinion.

My father is into woodworks and he creates so much stuff that sometimes it is hard to accept orders from clients. I was talking to my father a week ago because a friend of mine wants to order a couple of audio racks for his new business but since my dad has so much stuff to make, I ended up helping my friend to look for a website that sells these stuff. Great thing my father referred us to this website that has a couple of nice items that my friend loved. He is a bit choosy and I am glad it passed his standards.

My son wasn’t able to enroll for swimming classes this year but my wife promised to enroll him next year and maybe a few more classes so he can really enjoy Summer unlike this year that he only stayed at home. Good thing we have a really nice pool that we can set up at home so my son and his cousin can enjoy the sun even in the comforts of our home. We almost bought a swimming pool pump to come along with the new pool because we want to store the water for 2 days so they can swim Saturday and Sunday but the swimming pool was quite expensive already to buy a pump as well. Maybe we can buy the pump next summer. Anyway here is a picture of my son and his cousin together with my wife enjoying the heat one Saturday morning!

We are frequent here. My wife loves it there because the pool is really nice, it’s a resort hotel just in the heart of the metro. We don’t need to travel far plus their service is great as well so we don’t mind coming back. Our stay last weekend was a post celebration of my wife’s and son’s birthdays but since we cannot get a free slot last March, we opted to go this month. The hotel was packed but not crowded. The pool area is still enough for all the guests to enjoy. Here are some photos…

My son was too excited to swim but since it was too hot that Saturday afternoon, we spent time in the suite watching television before heading to the pool area during the late afternoon.

I have a friend who is lucky to experience a long relationship with his grandfather. The Lolo will be having his birthday and he loves sweets. His blood sugar is pretty much in the normal level so my friend thought of giving him something he loves to eat once in awhile and since we both think that it is nice to give him something that will never run out like clothes, at his age of 80, I think it is better to give him something that he can remember and enjoy. So we asked my wife to suggest something that can be given to my friend’s grandpa and she gave us a link that lets my friend choose from so many grandpa gifts available in the site and he will be purchasing this…

Last March 25, we went to La Mesa to bike to Tower 1, the hardest trail there. If you want to go to La Mesa better allot the whole day for this activity. We left really early and went home around 4pm already because we also had to stop to Chowking for lunch after biking. I had so much fun as usual though we were only a party of 3. I love how close we are to nature when we go to La Mesa. I hope to come back there soon.

My boss ordered an aluminum briefcase from GotBriefcases.com because he wants something really sturdy for his laptop. I find it hilarious at first but when I saw the website and how the briefcases look so durable, I find myself wanting one where I can use it during travel and conventions where we bring 1-2 laptops for presentations not to mention a lot of papers and paraphernalia that we need for an event. So far, I want two of the briefcases I saw online and I think I will be saving for one. They are really affordable too so budgeting won’t be that affected.

We cleaned the track for a couple of days before filming. It’s a long way up, taking everything we can in backpacks. It’s hard, but this is our way to explore other angles, new perspectives, and search for the perfect image. The project is simplified because we work with a great rider and a great friend.
