The Palace declares May 3 as non working Holiday. It is to celebrate the Labor Day which is May 1 and falls on a Saturday. QTV’s Balitanghali noontime news program reported the development here. Under Proclamation No. 1841, which covers holidays for this year, a non-working day is usually moved to the nearest Monday, giving the public a longer weekend. This is expected to encourage them to visit destinations out of town, thereby spurring tourism outside cities.
I wished we made plans but making one might be too late since that will be this coming weekend already. At least we will have more time to watch television, laze around the house and spend nice time in the mall or in the house for 3 days.

Work has been general since the day I got there. Imagine a boss asking me to find a Seagull lighting for his newly renovated place. Thanks to the very broad worldwide web, I was able to find it online. I wonder why he wants the particular brand. Since I’m in the hang of it and had nothing to do at work, I was able to browse their items and I think my wife will be very happy to have this perfect lighting for our workstation…

I believe she will love this since she is actually going for a bit masculine, industrial type of station with a feminine touch. Do you think this lamp if the perfect lighting right? I like it, I hope she does too.

L and I are talking last night, we are talking about Lipofuze. We are both gaining weight and unlike her, I am not so serious of the eating healthy part of all this losing weight project. L watches what she eats, she even has an iPhone app that tells her how much more calories she is allowed to eat for a day. And she strictly enters all her intakes, though she’s a bit over her budget calories, I still think that this is hard work and yes, I’m actually amazed. I haven’t seen her so dedicated about losing weight. Now, I heard from L that she wants to enroll in Fitness First, a gym with complete amenities and machinery to lose more weight. I actually think she doesn’t need to spend more to lose more weight but that’s still her call. She is still undecided but is very much considering. Here is a photo of the boys trying out an elliptical (I think) in Mall of Asia, that day Fitness First displayed some of their machines to attract people to join their gym.

Actually I’ve been eyeing another Toyota Starlet but I saw this and though it’s way more expensive than my first choice, I’m just eyeing it. Who know right? Some people close to me sometimes don’t understand my love for old school cars. But I find it actually amusing that you get to repair and built a really nice car from it being rusty, old and outdated. Anyway, this one I saw online doesn’t need any repairs, well, I’m thinking that the AC might need something, maybe a reconditioning plus of course the engine needs to be replaced since I want something in particular to give it a little boost when it needs to be fast once in a while. This costs roughly around 90,000 pesos and I hope I will sell the bike soon plus maybe win the lottery? haha…

The paint is still in nice condition plus from the looks of it, the body is still standing nicely.
And look at its interior…

My wife is telling me that she is getting acne just thinking about the spending if ever I decide to have a toy car. She might need a really effective acne treatment for every acne she will get from worrying. I think she is funny. Well, seriously, I’m really thinking of buying a toy car but I have no plans in giving my wife a headache, must worst acne. So I’m actually selling my bike frame and decided to shift to a hard tail frame so I can still save some money from the earnings of this bike frame, if ever it’ll be sold. I hope soon…

I’m parting with my dream frame to have my dream toy car. Thank God my wife understands.

Mall of Asia is a very huge mall here in the Philippines. We go there to buy this particular eye wrinkle cream for my wife that we don’t see in other malls in the metro (I wish she just orders online since I find it hard to go to MOA on weekends because of traffic and parking) but since it is a huge mall and there are lots of stores, amusements and other entertaining spots there, it has already been a tourist spot as well. We went there to bring my wife’s Aunt and cousin and they were fascinated of how big it is and they even witnessed a fireworks display. Yeah, malls are a hit in the Philippines.

Not that it needs a fish pond filter unlike the 2 small fish ponds in my parents in law’s garden. My wife thinks that either we drain the water in those ponds so it won’t get too dirty or buy a very nice filter so we can maintain the cleanliness. Anyway, this kiddie pool was set up for a day so the kids can enjoy the heat of Summer even if we only stayed at home to celebrate Easter. We also had barbecue…

Those fishes are so fresh and HUGE. This is what I love in my country, it has the freshest seafood around.
And of course, this photo is my favorite…

You can see how much my son enjoyed the pool party. He cried when we asked him to go out from the pool.

Actually it’s not an office task but since I had to do it in the office, I have to say that making invitations has been one of my office tasks at hand. When I’m in no rush to finish anything my boss asks me to layout an invitation and we have it printed in our reliable printing shop outside the camp but if workload is piling up then we pay for extra so they can also make layouts where we can choose from. So just for the sake of updates, I have 2 invites to make, 1 for a small conference with the bosses at work plus my boss’ private party at Linden Suites.
