Stock Options

May-20-2009 By nitrousworx

I haven’t heard about it before but I heard bosses at work talking about it. Of course, I was shy to interrupt the conversation but was a bit curious of what they are talking about. Stocks are really hard to understand much more compete. I saw a site that will help you be on the edge.

Power Options brings you the edge in competing. Brings you information, analysis and data which are essential to be excel. But I came across the word covered calls and I became curious of what does that mean? It’s actually, an options strategy whereby an investor holds a long position in an asset and sells call options on that same asset in an attempt to generate increased income from the asset. This is often employed when an investor has a short-term neutral view on the asset and for this reason hold the asset long and simultaneously have a short position via the option to generate income from the option premium. Apparently, Power Options offers tools that helps you search for the highest returns of trades and I will be very glad to be mentioning this to the bosses next time.

iPhone

May-20-2009 By nitrousworx

My wife is actually considering of getting an iPhone. I am convincing her to get a pda/phone that she can use so she can get rid of that big planner she writes on every time. She loves to write and she carries it all the time but the techie that I am, I’m telling her to just get rid of that and find a better phone that works as a pda at the same time. She is a bit skeptic of buying an expensive phone but I told her that she seldom upgrades her phone so buying a bit expensive phone is okay for her since she uses it for a long time. I’m actually suggesting, what else but this…

She is actually considering the cheapest iPhoen unit. The 2G 8gig. We’ll see if we can buy one soon. :) Anything for the wife, anyway, I know she really needs it.

To Check Before Riding

May-20-2009 By nitrousworx

I found an article that could be really helpful for bikers like me which was written by Zachary Perron.

The common tool of analysis for safely taking off on your bicycle is called the ABC check, and I highly reccommend it. A is for air; check your tires. B is for brakes; check your brakes. C is for cranks, that is, the things connected to the pedals that make Mr. Bicycle go. This is, of course, a safety tool first and foremost.

Now, if your tires are flat and you try to take off with them like this, you’ll notice immediately.

No danger there, unless you’re dropping Old Bessie off the curb and heading into rush-hour traffic. But if you have a low level of air in your tires when you launch, chances are you could blow it somewhere on your course. If you happen to be anywhere near an automobile when this happens, disaster may be imminent. So give those things a little squeeze before you go. It’s worth it.

As for the brakes, chances are pretty good that if your brakes are out wherever you’re taking off from, they were out when you got there. But you never know, so give them a squeeze too. Nothing is worse than plowing down that monster hill and having that deer or car or bunny rabit or child or heedless jaywalker show up in front of you. You think this situation is rough? Try it with no brakes.

As for cranks, it’s the same as brakes. If they were okay before, they are probably okay now. But if your chain is mangled or tangled, the situation may become exponentially worse when you begin your ride, depending upon where you are. So push once, while stationary, on one pedal, and make sure the proper tension exists.

Beyond the ABC check, I would say only to run a basic checklist of things you need. The presence of a tool kit, with at the very least a tire lever and a spare tube and travel pump, is one thing you may want to query. Also, your wallet, and any individuals you may have as travel partners. Taking off without these things may create issues.

Sure will follow that ABC… :D Happy Riding!

Why Stretching is Essential?

May-20-2009 By nitrousworx

Are you regularly practicing warm up exercises before your routine body workouts? It is very essential for anyone to practice warm up exercises before starting any kind of fitness workout. Warm up to your body is nothing but preparing your body muscles and joints for more powerful activities, which can help to prevent injuries as well as to provide good blood circulation in your body. Warm up exercises mainly increases your body temperature and makes your muscles more flexible and also responsive to various strenuous activities. Most of the experts will advise you to engage yourself in certain warm up exercises before you practice stretching exercises. This warming up of your body must slightly increase your heart rate but not to a level which you will experience during normal body workouts.

The Wall…Conquered!

May-19-2009 By nitrousworx

The first time I went to Timberland Heights to bike was about a year ago. It was my first ride to “The Wall” and I wasn’t able to make it to the top because I was a newbie at that time. After many trails to Maarat and technical rides at Fort Bonifacio Mountain Bike Circuit, last May 16, 2009 was my 2nd attempt to the wall. To make it short, I finally conquered “The Wall”.  A 2km 45 degree uphill, I pedaled it all the way up without taking a rest. No need for best diet pill now, we were sweating like pigs, I tell you!

This picture was taken at the top of The Wall and in front of the gate of Timberland Heights Subdivision. We went inside and rode some very nice Downhill tracks…but not so diffucult compared to Taytay’s Haooh Downhill trails!

Possible Trailing

May-15-2009 By nitrousworx

… tomorrow. TGIF and after weeks of not biking due to events in my family’s life, tomorrow I will have a possible mountain biking session again. Thank heavens! Not that I don’t want to spend my weekend with my wife and my son but I need to move my muscles, lately I’ve been swamped with work and I need to unwind and release thsi stress from work. Learning joomla and maintaining a site are all pressure for me sometimes it drives me nuts. Exercise is so important for stress release and I don’t need to buy appetite suppressant, my wife loves food and if I don’t exercise I will be gaining so much weight just to keep up with her. Just on my metal note, don’t forget the camera so I can blog more about the trailing by next week. hehehe.

Playful but Helpful

May-13-2009 By nitrousworx

My son playing with the water bottles at the same time lining up the bottles on the side of our garage. While waiting for his mommy to go out because where going to the mall, go strolling and buy myself computer memory. He then lift 1 bottle to each of his hand while transferring from one place to another.  He likes to carry stuffs and even heavy ones that is why his arms are somehow already forming muscles. You can already ask him a favor to get something and he will gladly give it to you. He is Dustin, playful yet helpful!?!?!

Our Fave Italian Resto

May-13-2009 By nitrousworx

We went strolling at the mall in the Ortigas area to treat the kids and look for some stuffs. When lunch time came, we went hunting for a restaurant and we came to this new but not so fancy restaurant…Gotti’s.

We tried this since we love Italian food and besides it’s new to us. As soon as we came in, the crew greeted us and assisted us in our table. And when we get to taste their food…it’s like heaven. We ordered 2 large pasta and a pizza. More tasty than those expensive Italian restaurants. Overall, It’s a very nice restaurant. What I like the most is their service. They are always on standby to take care all your needs! I hope I get to find an insurance online that will take care of all our office needs as well, my boss is killing me, asking me to find one and I need it ASAP!
