This is an update of our trip in Baguio…these photos were taken from my newly acquired mobile phone…Nokia 6120c. Not bad for a camera phone…my only problem with this camera phone is when I shoot on low lighting areas, there are vertical lines showing on the picture even if the flash is already on…really sucks!!!
Day 1 (20 February 2009)

Just about to leave home… an hour away from Baguio

Zig-zag road on the way to Baguio We first had our lunch at David’s
It’s already cold in this area tea house in SM Baguio before
going to our hotel…

Veniz Hotel…Baguio
Veniz Hotel is probably one of the well-known hotels in Baguio basically because it is located in the heart of Baguio city. It’s a stone throw away from Burnham Park, Session Road, and Baguio City Market which is a Plus! The staff of the hotel are so warm to us that they greet us (or all the hotel guest) whenever they pass us at the hallway or in the elevator. Two thumbs up for the people of Veniz. The room is quite nice, but after carefully inspecting the room, there are some minor fixes to be done namely;
1. The kettle to use to boil water for coffee is already rusting… Do you want to drink coffee with rust particles in it? Be my guest!
2. The shower’s hot and cold faucet is very difficult to use. It’s either you switch it too hot or too cold and sometimes when you already have the right temperature (or so you think!), it’ll be very cold in about 30 seconds…you need to hold the faucet while shampooing your hair…and you need to move front and back as the water gets too hot or too cold… Kailangan mo umilag. hehehe…
3. The curtain and carpet are dirty… My son walked barefoot on the carpet and his feet got black like he stepped on coals. They should have a wet and dry vacuum cleaner so they can shampoo it.
But all in all, it’s way better than some hotels from what we heard.

Besides the Philippine Military Academy Grandstand…I took a photo near a UH-1H
helicopter while waiting for my father-in-law’s Alumni parade.
