Ready to Pick Up

Feb-28-2009 By nitrousworx

Our car is repaired. Ready to be picked up when the cheque for the payment gets cleared. I had to check the car for the repairs and had the water pump replaced, it wasn’t included with the company’s payment to I had to pay for the replacement part but since the shop is nice to actually make free labor for the replacement, I only had to pay for the water pump. I will be getting the car on Monday and have to road test it so if something’s not right I can have it back in the shop. Hopefully everything runs smoothly and that it will run okay.

In Need of A Notebook

Feb-26-2009 By nitrousworx

My wife is always busy using our laptop, she usually does everythign there, digital scrapbooking, blogging, paid blogging, album layouts for her clients and talking to family and online friends that I can’t take the laptop when she’s working but what if I need to work too? I, myself has a lot of stuff to do, study Flash, do some data work for the office and editing videos and photos not to mention downloading a lot of stuff. We need to save and buy another notebook for me, I am actually eyeing a Sony Vaio like this one…

I wish we can save this year so I can get this one too this year…

Baguio Trip…update!

Feb-26-2009 By nitrousworx

This is an update of our trip in Baguio…these photos were taken from my newly acquired mobile phone…Nokia 6120c.  Not bad for a camera phone…my only problem with this camera phone is when I shoot on low lighting areas, there are vertical lines showing on the picture even if the flash is already on…really sucks!!!

Day 1 (20 February 2009)

Just about to leave home…                       an hour away from Baguio

Zig-zag road on the way to Baguio       We first had our lunch at David’s
It’s already cold in this area                  tea house in SM Baguio before
going to our hotel…

Veniz Hotel…Baguio

Veniz Hotel is probably one of the well-known hotels in Baguio basically because it is located in the heart of Baguio city. It’s a stone throw away from Burnham Park, Session Road, and Baguio City Market which is a Plus! The staff of the hotel are so warm to us that they greet us (or all the hotel guest) whenever they pass us at the hallway or in the elevator. Two thumbs up for the people of Veniz.  The room is quite nice, but after carefully inspecting the room, there are some minor fixes to be done namely;
1. The kettle to use to boil water for coffee is already rusting… Do you want to drink coffee with rust particles in it? Be my guest!
2. The shower’s hot and cold faucet is very difficult to use. It’s either you switch it too hot or too cold and sometimes when you already have the right temperature (or so you think!), it’ll be very cold in about 30 seconds…you need to hold the faucet while shampooing your hair…and you need to move front and back as the water gets too hot or too cold… Kailangan mo umilag. hehehe…
3. The curtain and carpet are dirty… My son walked barefoot on the carpet and his feet got black like he stepped on coals.  They should have a wet and dry vacuum cleaner so they can shampoo it.

But all in all, it’s way better than some hotels from what we heard.

Besides the Philippine Military Academy Grandstand…I took a photo near a UH-1H
helicopter while waiting for my father-in-law’s Alumni parade.

Going to Baguio

Feb-19-2009 By nitrousworx

We are going on a road trip tomorrow. It’s the PMA Alumni and my father in law’s is going to there to celebrate. I thought going there last 2006 will be the last since this year my father in law is retired already in the service but since he is still very much active with the batch, we are going now tagging along the toddlers that weren’t born yet when we last came for the Alumni. This will be theire first long drive trip, a good 5-6 hours maybe. We always plan our weekend getaways and since this trip will be a 3 days 2 nights trip, we should be really prepared, bringing important things for the kids and setting up the car so they can travel very comfortably. Well, father in law’s service van from work has the in car television so the kids will enjoy watching Disney movies throughout the trip. I just can’t wait to go to Baguio again and breathe fresh air.

My New Cell

Feb-19-2009 By nitrousworx

Yes, another new mobile phone for me. I sold my old Sony and bought a Nokia 6120c. Actually, it’s pre owned but it looks really new and with the 2.0 MP camera, I’m happy.

Key Features:

  • Compact 3G/HSDPA smartphone
  • Fast web browsing and downloading
  • Email with attachment viewer
  • 2 megapixel camera with flash, 4x digital zoom and panorama mode
  • Video calls with 2nd camera
  • Calendar with easy PC synchronizin

I guess, I made the right choice. Until my next new cellphone. Hehehe… Right now, I will be enjoying this new toy.

B-U-S-Y

Feb-19-2009 By nitrousworx

I’ve been very busy as a bee these days. Working in a very busy government office will always have it’s perks but right now, I can’t see any. All I want to do in the afternoon is just go home and rest. I’ve been an all around guy these days and I hate it. I should only maintain our database and that’s it but no, the boses ask me to do things that are doable but are not in my list of duties anymore like making layouts for banner, printing gift cards or even going out to buy computer parts, great thing I have a service car and a driver that will get me to places but it’s tiring especially now that summer is just around the corner and being outside’s even more tiring because of the heat. Good thing today will be the last day of my work week, tomorrow will be going to Baguio with my in laws and I can just relax.

Update on the Mazda

Feb-19-2009 By nitrousworx

Well, the car is already under repair. No more wreck. It’s spanking new but of course it is never the same. But at least we don’t have any problems anymore about it not getting done or something. I was happy to know that most parts were replaced even with the haggling of the price between the company of the driver and the car shop. Well, I really don’t care, as long as the car gets fixed properly. Money will never be my concern since I’m the victim here. We checked the car last week and they were already putting the primer for the paint so when I called in this week, the guy from the shop told me that if the weather is good, the paint job can be finished within this week. Hopefully, the company of that driver pays the bill so we can pull out the car when it’s done and we can sell it already. I hope the plan pushes through. Crossing my fingers…

Treasure Chest

Feb-15-2009 By nitrousworx

I’ve been trying to search ways and means on how to improve our wealth. My son is growing up really fast and we are having more needs as this happens. I’ve got nice ways earning bucks and I always imagine how other people earn and keep their wealth. Searching online gave me more ways, actually a surprising way that I discovered to keep someone wealthy and have the power, buy gold, silver and other precious material and invest on them. Gold bullion is real, VERY honest money. Gold never gets old, it always appreciates and never depreciates. Buying gold has always been an ancient way of preserving one’s wealth and has always been effective worldwide from the time of our ancestors so I bet it will forever be effctive to invest in it. I just wish we have enough money so I can invest in Monex’s bars, that will be a real BLAST!

Selling Junk

Feb-15-2009 By nitrousworx

I’ve been very business minded lately. You see, I keep useful stuff that I don’t really need. My wife calls everything I keep, my junk. I’ve been collecting these stuff over months. You might be so curious of what kind of junk I keep. I keep techie parts in a box. I have memory for laptops and computers, dvd and cd writers, drivers, etc. etc. I never threw something away and I always think they might be useful someday since I often buy and sell stuff too but some are already gathering dust so I’ve decided to sell some online. People are already inquiring about an item or two and I think selling my “junk” is not a bad idea after all.

D50

Feb-12-2009 By nitrousworx

Our Nikon D50 is newly repaired. The camera is functioning like new. My wife is getting interested with her favorite hobby once again. She’s been reading tutorials online and has been practicing a lot, making me and our son as her favorite subjects. Sometimes she would ask me to face here then there, I must admit, it’s kind of uncomfortable but if she needs to practice, I will do that for her. I also suggested that she comes when we bike so she can take action photos and take pictures of the nature in the trails… Take pictures of the pond, the flowers, the trees, if she’s lucky, she might get a photo of the Dwarf Little Gem Magnolia trees hidden there. Then I can post nice photos here already. I need to post photos here, my blogs are getting boring. hehehe…
