Chances and Brighter Future

Jan-31-2009 By nitrousworx

I’ve been always worried about my son’s future eversince he came into our lives, I guess that’s just normal to any father especially that I’m still starting to be a little okay with my job. I’ve always been worried if I can provide everything that is best for him and I guess there is no certain answer for that except that you just got to have a little faith.

My wife was raving about online university degree the other night and how awesome it is that you can actually finish school with the help of Capella University, an online university that can help you achieve your dreams and be somebody. To some people who didn’t finish college during their time, now they are given another chance to fulfill their dreams and continue their job to earn. Of course, I want my son to finish school while we can provide for him but isn’t it a great thing that kids nowadays get the options? New Green

Jan-30-2009 By nitrousworx

We had the chance to go around Greenbelt last Saturday, boy the place looks different from what I can remember. There’s Greenbelt 1 then 2 and then 3 and 4 and 5! Yes they expanded the place that I can’t barely remember how it looks like before when I was a kid. I used to come there with my Dad doing errands for his business and today I took my family with the very much improved place. It caters mostly the high class of the society having hig class restaurants and shops. But I like it there, not too much people around the malls and they built fountains and small parks where you can hang out outdoors. We had fun going around Greenbelt 5, Timezone there was not crowded, imagine Timezone not crowded at 4 in the afternoon, yeah miracle I know. Then we had dinner at Bubba Gump in Greenbelt 3, I think. The food was expensive but very delicious and the servings are huge. Worth every penny. Now aside from Boni High Street, we have a new favorite to hang out when we’re out, the Greenbelt malls.

Hopeful

… that our family plan of having a vacation somewhere far will push through this year. I’ve been dreaming about this since I was a kid and I hope I will soon be going there with my wife and kid. I’ve been scouting places that we can go to and I also had the urge of maybe dropping my Mexico when we get there. Those 2 countries are practically connected and maybe going to Mexico will be a bonus. I saw some family all inclusive vacations that we can probably check out. My wife will be happy if she knew that I’m considering this, Mexico has is one afew countries who has great beaches and we all love nature and sand and the ocean. Though we live in a tropical country, going to another country that has great beaches will be a treat, well that of course if we push through with our planned vacation.

Upgrade Bug

Jan-28-2009 By nitrousworx

Thinking of replacing my trusty Sony Ericsson K800i with a dual sim phone… This phone has a lot of function and a good quality 3.2mp camera and a very bright flash.  I’m still thinking twice if I should replace this.

Some of my quick pics was a China made phone, “Mini Iphone”, but I heard a lot of rumors that it doesn’t last that long compared to quality phones… so I tried searching for another dual sim phone. Another one is a Singapore branded phone called Verzio.

They have a store in boni high but haven’t visited it yet.  Some say it’s a good phone for the price but it’s not a text friendly phone since you have to press a lot of keys just to send your message (not for me)…

Last option would be the Samsung D880 Duos… haven’t heard any negative reviews for this phone… but I’m still searching for a better one… Any suggestions?

My Superboy’s Ready?

Jan-21-2009 By nitrousworx

My wife is considering of potty training him already. He knows peeing and pooing already. Well, he doesn’t know the difference but he can say pee and poo already. I haven’t talk about my son lately and though most fathers get a bit shy of talking about diapers and formulas, here I am typing potty training but I don’t really mind. You see he’s a little close to being a 2 year old and we are now thinking of how to potty train him. I just told my wife that we’ll get there when we think he’s ready. Enough of the people telling us that this is the time or no, wait until he’s 3… we will know and somehow my wife feels the boy will be ready soon. One thing we need is a toilet seat riser. We are considering a separate portable toilet for him but that would be messy, all the cleaning and stuff. I think the seat is much more convenient for all of us.

My wife asked me to look for it online and saw AllegroMedical.com. A reliable source of all life enhancing products. They have an array of seat risers to choose from and even saw different styles that is suited for kids too. I am glad I looked online, no fuss and stress from walking in the malls for hours and finding nothing that we want but Allegro Medical has what we prefer and they even offer it in very affordable prices. What more can you ask for right?

50 in the Army Track

Jan-20-2009 By nitrousworx

It used to be free. We found the track a few months back, way before civilian bikers discovered it. Only officers, soldiers, dependents and civilian employees enjoy the exciting trail but when everybody discovered it, it became a fuss. Riding there became crowded already and since it’s inside the camp, security became an issue so to regulate the bikers coming in and out the camp they had to implement a 50 pesos fee. I’m hoping that they will look into the officers, soldiers, dependents and government employees who go biking there, 50 pesos is not much but I hope they will consider us, it’s our privilege anyway. Okay enough of the complaining… I need to find a huge luggage for my boss who will have a trip to Europe soon.

Our DSLR

Jan-20-2009 By nitrousworx

Well, it’s in the service center. We had it fixed 2 weekends ago. My wife actualy left it in the car and after that the built in flash is no longer sync with the body anymore. This means, even if we use the flash, the photo comes out dark. The service center told us that we might have to order the top part of the body where the flash is located. We might be needing more money for the repair. It’s only January and we are already spending so much. I hope after my son’s party this March, we can save money already. My wife will be calling the service center this Thursday to follow up the cam’s condition, I just hope it won’t go over our budget.

Eyeing for a New Car

Jan-20-2009 By nitrousworx

Well, actually technically it’s not new but a second hand car that will replace our wrked Mazda that is still in the car shop. The problem with the owner of the truck that wrecked our car is not yet finished. We still need to bug them almost everyday to get the papers going or we will take it to court. Honestly? This is giving me headaches, I couldn’t function well, it’s usually in my mind. The car is stucked there for almost 2 months now and the thinking and worrying bug me, I really don’t Leptovox, I’m loosing weight easily. The last thing I need is an arrogant owner and his freaking reckless driver to give me headache. So yeah, just to get my mind off from the problem, what do I do? Look for great second hand cars online that we can buy after we sell the Mazda.

More Buys

Jan-10-2009 By nitrousworx

I was so surprised to know from my wife that she bought more items online and the shipping boxes will come some time this February. Well, I couldn’t complain about her online shopping since, for one, it’s her own money and two, she buys so many things for me and our son less than herself. As much as I want to thank her for that, I sure hope that she will shop only once a year online so she can save her dollars. We have BIGGER plans this year and savings will be very important. I don’t want to tell her to stop shopping, it’s like telling myself not to go biking anymore and I still want her to be happy. I will be a hypocrite to say that I’m not excited to get her buys, beside she told me I got a few new shirts and flops on the way. hahaha.

Things bought for the iPod

Jan-9-2009 By nitrousworx

With the iPod classic comes more expenses. hahaha. Well, I plan on bringing the ipod while biking. I can’t just put it any wear, pockets will be a bad idea, it can drop and I will be sorry for that. While we were on our trip we dropped by Apple ATC to look for incase armband. And I thought I won’t be able to buy one but they have 1 last stock, lucky me right? I bought something like this…

… but in black. For 1,200 Php.

and I also bought a FM transmitter so our son can watch movies in the iPod and the sounds can come out from the car speakers. Cool right?
