What I Love About Hong Kong

There are a few things I love about it aside from the fact that the weather is cold and it’s a haven to shopaholics. I love the fact that the traffic is very tolerable. Drivers and pedestrians are disciplined. Bathrooms are well maintained with toilet papers, soap and nice hand dryers. All streets even those idle side streets are clean. Their transportation system is amazing from their buses, to the MTR even their Ferry is an experience, all you need is a map and the Octopus Card and you are ready to go. Maybe I forget some stuff about HK but in general, we love the place and we will surely come back, hopefully next year!

For My Work

I need a really fast laptop. I’ve been browsing for some laptops and I’m so amazed of how high tech everything is today. I’m maintaining a database at work and though it is not much hard work as maybe to some other offices, it is still my work and I want to excel in it and sometimes the gadgets at work are limited and owning my own fast gadget can help. Just yesterday, I updated everything in my desktop because it is slowing down my tasks. My wife suggested I look for a new Apple laptop which I can also use in doing some Flash designs. I need more practice if I also want to develop that skill. So much to do and so much money to need. Hopefully, this year, I can purchase what I need to perform better.

What to do first?

I have a site that needs to be finished by this week. My mother in law is asking me to search about ceramic tiles that they plan to buy for the veranda that is ongoing for their bedroom. To tell you frankly, I love to look for the tiles other than the site because it’s less stressful but right now the site is my priority so the browsing of the things for the construction is left to my wife who is also busy with her online tasks. I wish we could sometimes have more than 24 hours a day. I didn’t expect that coming from a very relaxing vacation we’ll be faced by so much duties and stress. We need another vacation! If we can only win the lottery! hehe…

Back from the Magic Land

I was faced with a task of helping my wife research about rheumatoid arthritis information, since they are having a very informative seminar about it by the time she goes back to work last Monday after our short vacation. So I learned a few about it, I wonder how well she did from our research. Anyway, yes, we are back from our 4-day vacation in a cold place that we all enjoyed and the highlight of the vacation especially in my son’s point of view?

Yes, it was sunny when we went there but the weather is cool so we enjoyed our walk in the Magic Land. We all agreed, We Love Disneyland!

Biking and then Some

I miss it. I’ve been always saying about that since it’s been weeks since my last biking. I was supposed to go biking after work last Friday but that didn’t push through because I have to start on something or it will be long overdue. The fact of the matter, I haven’t started what I should have been started bu now and the biking was cancelled, all I did was read some insurance quote online since I kept staring at our laptop for hours and the page was opened. My wife was helping a friend and forgot to exit from the page. At least, I learned a thing or two about insurance. I promise to be more productive on the coming days. I will just have to spend time with my family this weekend and then I’ll concentrate on work for 2 days since Wednesday we’re off to Hong Kong for 4 days!

Web Design

I have a huge project. I thought looking for cigars online and presenting it to my previous boss for purchase as gifts for his VIP friends who is supporting him is a challenge, well this one is bigger and more challenging.His wife actually asked me to design a website. Yikes! Now I need to refresh my knowledge in Flash and Dreamweaver. The timeframe is short and I need to remember all my stock knowledge. I don’t want to disappoint my boss and I always want to be good in the things I am asked to do. I’m actually seeing a college friend who’s expertise is in web designing to help me refresh my know-how. Above all, I hope I don’t get to disappoint myself. I got myself into this and I have to do it perfectly. Wish me luck!

For The Skin

My wife was talking about an allergy relief she discovered online. I have a friend who got allergies from eating shrimps when he’s uncle went here for a vacation this month and they went out dining in Dampa. Since my wife works in a hospital and I am close to him when we were in College, he remembered to ask me about his condition. He was admitted for 2 days in the hospital due to difficulty in breathing. Thank God he is okay now and is recovering at home. He got rashes on his skin and is gradually subsiding. To bad he can’t come with me if ever we go biking this weekend. He wants to try mountain biking.

Not My Business

I don’t know what’s wrong with my office mate but she asked me to help her find discount diet pills. I actually told this to my wife and she was furious. Telling me that why will a girl office mate ask me such a thing. The only reason I can think of is that I can search better and browse online more than anybody at work. I told my office mate that even if I know a few diet pills, I think that it is still not my business to give her information like that since we are not even friends. Women sometimes are weird, they will do anything for the sake of beauty. Darn!

24, Ain’t Enough!

Can somebody add more hours in a day? Because 24 hours is just not enough! Tremendous activities during the weekends that I can’t squeeze in my biking. And with the eating out during the weekends I would be needing weight loss products to lose the calories I’m taking. I need exercise badly! But how can I do that if I work on weekdays from 8-5 and when I come home, it’s too dark to go trailing and on weekends there so much family errands to do that biking comes in the last of the list. Tomorrow is Monday once again, though work is not so busy nowadays, Monday is still and will always be the busiest day of my work week so yeah! Good luck to me!

Are Spas just for Women?

My wife is convincing me we get a massage at her favorite spa but never in my life did I experience getting pampered like that. I mean, I was raised in a home where men are just men, don’t go to facial clinics, salons especially to a spa. I’d rather have murad skin care in the comforts of our home rather than spend time driving to the nearest spa which is actually not so far from our place. L is asking me to try it just one time but I have to take a rain check, her massages will do for now. I still don’t have the guts to lay naked in bed and have a stranger touch my body even if my wife permits it. She will have to be with her best friend on this one, I still think spas are there to pamper women after they pamper their husbands. hahaha…
