Christmas passed without me greeting everyone here Merry Christmas. Life has been hectic going to work when the Holiday fever is at it’s peak. Glad I didn’t get sick or anything and needed any prescription medication last week. There are friends who got sick and needed to go to the hospital because their coughs and colds are worst. With all the celebrations come stress as well and people’s immune system gets cranky too, I’m glad even if I was stressed last week, I didn’t catch the flu some co-workers had. Anyway, it’s another work week today and New Year’s celebration isn’t over yet. This will be very busy too because aside from work today and tomorrow, I have parties to attend to. So before the Happy New Year greetings… let me extend our belated Merry Christmas from my family to yours…

Merry Christmas! Hope you had a great one!

Okay before I find more stuff for my mother in law online, like looking for the perfect kitchen sink she wanted in her dirty kitchen from the many nice sinks online, I will blog about my family first. I haven’t talked about them for quite a while. My wife and I recently celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary. Last year, we celebrated it late by checking in at Bellevue Hotel early January. This year, we will celebrate it late too and we will be going with my in laws. We are heading to Hong Kong late January. This wasn’t planned but since we’ve decided to come, we just canceled the original plan to check in in one of the nice places in Tagaytay for our celebration. We think Hong Kong is better even if it’s technically post anniversary celebration already. Anyway, I hope to blog more after the trip! HIHI… So about my son, he’s growing up way too fast. A little naughty at times but truly a joy for us. He’s soon turning 3 and we are just planning to celebrate his birthday simply. We’ll see what my wife will cook up about that. Here are their recent photo with a little story to tell…

My wife is trying on her boots that her sister gave her for our Hong Kong trip and I was taking pictures so she can show her best friend the new shoes when my son asked her, “Mommy what you doing?” and instantly went in front of her and said, “eeeeeeee”, signaling me to take his picture because he’s smiling in front of the camera. After I snapped, he went to me and said, “Dustin look!” and looked at his picture. Too cute, if you ask me!

My brother who is now living in the US and working there as a Physical Therapist is a mobile professional health care provider. He travels from one institution to another and is actually planning to visit Philadelphia soon which prompt him to look for a place from the Philadelphia apartments his friend scouted for him.He wishes to stay in one place though, he thinks being mobile is very hard especially to him who just started learning driving and just bought his new car about a month ago but his jobs calls for it and all he can do is follow those rules. He plans on seeing us next year and hoping that by that time he really has his own place and a one location job so he can spend time with us when we have our vacation there. I sure hope that happens!

My wife is so excited for Christmas. Ever since the time I met her and became her boyfriend, it’s always the same. She happy and excited when Christmas is near. Nothing can stop her. She always has her list… of people to give gifts to and what possible gifts to give them. I on the other hand is only thinking of what to possible give and my son, I leave everything to her. So am I ready to do some Christmas shopping for my small family? I really don’t know what to give my wife, unlike my son that I am thinking of giving him books since we already have toys and other stuff ready for wrapping for him but to my wife, I have no clue. She told me not to bother since I already paid for her Technomarine watch that she bought this year but of course I still want to give her something she can open on Christmas eve. Any suggestions?

In a few days Christmas is coming. Time surely flies so fast. A lot may change this month and I’m hoping and praying for the best. October was so stressful, my boss is running for presidency and he is resigning this month. Stress is certainly a best fat burner and I couldn’t agree with a friend more when he told me that worries and problems can certainly take a person down not to mention I haven’t been working out lately to release my stress. I’m just glad I have my family beside me. My wife tells me to think positive to attract good vibes which I think is true. I want to believe that changes at work will certainly give more great opportunities to workers like me. I want to welcome November 2009 as a window opening instead of a door closing.

NO BIKE AGAIN! This is pissing me off. I have plans and we have plans but with the rain, a plan will not push through, I wish the others on the list will happen like our malling, the looking for some mattresses for the guest room and the sister in law’s room, my mother in law asked us to canvass and look for a nice mattress on each room so she can have an idea how much to save, the taking of the son to Timezone and the dinner out tomorrow. I hope the weather will be much better tomorrow. It’s been raining crazy tonight and I bet the roads will be wet and the trails muddy so there is no chance that I can go trailing, I’m thinking of just the malling with the family to relax. I miss biking though.

I had a BUSY day at the office today. I left at 7pm and my wife and my brother in law waited at the parking lot for 2 hours since I usually go out at 5pm. We car pool by the way. I was actually at the office for 2 hours working my butt off even if I have to go home for nothing. They changed their mind and actually had me work on something and last minute they said that they will not use it anymore. Torture! I hope it won’t be as busy tomorrow since it’s a Friday already.

I am looking for nice Amazon books about biking online. I heard some biker friends that there are books I can buy for repairing my own mountain bike and great reads about downhill biking. When I find time, I will definitely browse for that online.

We will be checking in at Holiday Inn. My brother in law and his wife invited us to go with their family to celebrate their 5th anniversary. So we will be staying overnight in a hotel today, check in at around 2pm. I will be going there in the afternoon though, I have so much pending tasks at the office that I can’t ask for a day’s off. Bummer!

My son playing with the water bottles at the same time lining up the bottles on the side of our garage. While waiting for his mommy to go out because where going to the mall, go strolling and buy myself computer memory. He then lift 1 bottle to each of his hand while transferring from one place to another. He likes to carry stuffs and even heavy ones that is why his arms are somehow already forming muscles. You can already ask him a favor to get something and he will gladly give it to you. He is Dustin, playful yet helpful!?!?!

We went at 7 corners, Crowne Plaza, Ortigas last Sunday to celebrate mother’s day. It’s our 2nd time to eat here and the food was really great especially the Lamb Curry (Indian cuisine). Our reservation starts at 12nn but arrived there around 11am. While we’re waiting, I took some pics of the place.

My dearest wife and my FIL browsing some pictures while waiting for the go signal.
They already served us some drinks to start with.

My wife and me together with my wacky FIL. hehehe. I didn’t know he posed in the middle…

I started with my favorite dish, Indian Food! My wife grabbed me ceasar salad while I went running for the Indian dishes. I have some chapati (bread), Lamb Curry (my favorite) and Vegetable curry (yumyum). the black thing was Brazilian Wild Rice. A very tasty rice! On the right I think is an Hungarian sausage which I saw near the stove. Too bad there’s no mango lassi available to complete the my craving. The good thing is I don’t need weight loss pills because I have mountain biking for sport or else I will be needing those with the food I take every special occasion. hahaha…

Dustin went to St. Luke’s this morning to his pedia to take his pneumococcal vaccine. His chart is almost finished unlike before that he gets vaccinated every month. His doctor said that his next vaccine would be on February. Whew! It would take us time to save up some money to buy a minivan…After this, we went to tomas morato to have lunch. We don’t have any restaurant preference until we saw Shakey’s. We ate a set of carbonara, pizza, mojos n’ dip and a creamy mushroom soup for our little angel. After eating, we dropped to my parent’s house to take a short visit and to get my “pasalubong” from my brother (thanks kuya!) currently working abroad, a car dvd collection of import cars taken from the roads of Japan and other countries more like the video game Initial D. Lots of great cars drifting and drag racing on the road. really cool stuff!

After Dustin saw this video, he changed his favorite movie “Finding Nemo” with this one…
