We are building a website and I have been searching for open source downloads to help me get through my part of the deal, so far I found so much and I know I will get a lot of help from editing videos, putting some audio on the site, even finding help in mapping, FreeMind is one of the best open source application I found online. This high productivity tool will be very useful in our brainstorming every time we’ll have one and it will be lot easier for me to explain things with the help of this.

Along the way, I also found so many open source downloads that can be of help to my wife who blogs and do so much important stuff online.

Cabos

This is a peer to peer file sharing which she and her online friends can use every time work comes. The new version’s bitrate is increased for faster sharing.

Calibre

My wife loves ebook and this free download is a great management solution. Being the OC person that she is when it comes to her files, this will help her organize her ebook library with ease. She can customize her collection as well. I can even use this software in downloading news from websites and upload it in any device that I will be using. Pretty cool!

FileZilla

This is very useful in her blogging, truly an FTP solution. User friendly, this will be a very convenient way to upload her files online.

Desktop Tower Defense

This software is for me, I love strategy games, sometimes I just sit and play them whenever my mind can’t think anymore for work. It helps me relax and exercise my mind a little bit more. Puzzles and mazes can be a lot tricky than you think and it will be very much exciting to solve each one of them.

A friend of mine was walking with me to the next office building when she suddenly twisted her ankle because she was wearing high heels shoes, she was in terrible pain and I have no idea what to do, I escorted her to my wife’s work place which is the nearest hospital and she was given an ice pack, had an xray and lucky her she didn’t need an ankle or a knee brace because the injury wasn’t that severe. She only needs to rest and apply cold compress and take pain reliever. Anyway, she wasn’t able to come to our meeting and I had to talk to the big bosses alone for our current project at work. Darn!

I hope this stops already. No more natural disasters anywhere in the world please, Lord.

A magnitude 7.1 earthquake struck off the coast of Japan’s Miyagi Prefecture – the region worst affected by the huge March 11 quake and tsunami – at 11:32 p.m. local time on Thursday. Evacuation orders were issued for hundreds of homes along the northeast coastline. Tsunami advisories were immediately issued, but were lifted approximately one hour later. The quake is the strongest of the hundreds of aftershocks that have shaken Japan since the magnitude 9.0 temblor on March 11. That earthquake caused a tsunami that destroyed thousands of homes, displaced nearly a half million people, and severely crimped the iconic fishing industry there.

My friend and I talked over Facebook this morning and he told me how his car disappointed him. He was driving to Las Vegas together with his girlfriend when the car just stopped without any warning. He was actually furious because he checked everything before they left California. He had to call for his parents to call the hotel where they were staying at to inform then that they will be late in checking in because he was very worried that they may not get a place to stay for 5 days in Las Vegas then he also called for a roadside assistance to help them tow the car in the designated area. They also asked to bring a mechanic to see what’s wrong with the car. He was happy with the services and they are now livin’ the life in the Sin City! I hope he wins.

A friend of mine if planning to go to Australia, both he and his wife are in the medical field and are searching for some healthcare jobs there so they can possibly apply and maybe help them go to Australia easier, they have 2 kids and one is already studying.I think if they are really determined to go abroad, they should pursue it. Life in a 3rd world country is not that easy even if you graduated a 4-year course and is actually considered a professional, you can get old without owning our own house and your own car and you can’t even afford to send your kids to great schools. In Australia, you can have the chances you want to make your life easier and prosper more, have your own house, own cars and send kids to better schools. I love my country but if God will just allow, I want my family and I go to a greener pasture just for our son’s welfare of course.
