I know I should be investing on priorities for my old school car like even on a cheap auto insurance like what my wife points out but I am into pimping it and I’m enjoying the it so far. Well, just yesterday, I had the seat covers installed. It’s class A German leather and it fits to a T for our car. The wife has even her 2 thumbs up on this one. The money is all worth it. I was contemplating and listing all the priorities for our old school, I really want it fixed and in tip top condition by next year so I can save up for it’s repainting. My son is going to school next year plus we have plans of investing on a business so I have to really set my goals. 2010 is a good year, I hope by 2011, God willing it will be a better year.

Everyday more and more people are being victims of crime. The most common among all the crimes is robbery especially nowadays that Holiday season is here. So many of the less fortunate result to robbery, sad to say but true. Victims of crime result to being more cautious and may result to thinking of ways to fight crime again. Though the best thing for me is still not to fight back especially if the robber has a weapon but there are certain ways in which you can get a chance of running away from the bad guy and totally escape before anything happens. One of the weapon that I can think of is having  an electroshock weapon.

So what are the weapon that can be a little harmful but will not cause death? In this century some people acquire handguns which I think are very lethal since it may not kill the bad guy but it can also harm you and we don’t want to kill anybody, our main goal is just to protect ourselves and secure our life. I am thinking of stun baton which are commonly used in some parts of the world, especially by women who can protect themselves from fighting back. Even most police officers in some countries use this to shock criminals so not to harm themselves or anybody for that matter. When fighting a criminal, you should always think of a better way to escape after shocking them, not any ways of fighting back, I think it’s the most important thing to remember.

I’m planning to go biking again and I want to bike somewhere we used to bike at when I was still addicted to mountain biking but the problem is that the old car that we used to use was already sold and the rack is not compatible with the big car that we have right now so I’m thinking of maybe getting one from all the nice hitch bike racks I see online. The new big car has a hitch receiver so we will not have a problem of spending for a hitch receiver which is really nice because we can invest on a nicer rack. I hope I can take biking again seriously because I haven’t gotten any serious healthy activity since I stopped biking.

Too much food over the weekend and sometimes it gets too disturbing to eat already. My wife is joking that I think I need Lipofuze already so I can burn those calories but I think going to the gym with her tomorrow will do the trick. In these times, one must not forget to visit the gym or just burn a few calories by sweating. I think that it is very important because you know how Christmas is in the Philippines… 2 words, Overflowing Food! We also need to consider our health and we don’t want getting hypertension along the way.

My wife is an optometrist and she goes to work like I do even if we are on Holiday moods already. We were so lazy in going out of bed this morning but we have to. She has to go to a supplier and get a few cheap glasses that her patients ordered for next week (yes! we still have work next week!) and I had to finish some more deadlines in the office so we can just relax next week. We are thinking of filing a vacation leave next week, come after the day she meets her patients. I just want to laze around the house, fix Boxie and spend more time with our son. We have so many plans this month and next year will be a different story. We need to accomplish everything this year because more batch of plans should be accomplished next year. Pressure!

I was talking to my friend early today about a co-worker of his who is suffering from Mesothelioma. It is a very hard condition plus the trauma that it can give that co-worker and his family especially this season. I got to reflect on how we should really take good care of our health. Our health is not only ours when we have our own family. It is our obligation to take care of ourselves because we also have a family to take care of and that is very much important. Nowadays, the lifestyle of a person changes because of the influence of so many aspects but if we have the discipline, we can never be persuade in giving ourselves a healthy lifestyle. I guess it’s just in your perspective of things and how you handle it.

My wife will be looking for some nice Moen kitchen faucets for the kitchen which my mother in law asked her to get and we might be ordering it online since shopping in the malls these days can be a headache. Traffic is so hideous plus the long lines in the cashier can take so much of our time and we will be doing the shopping on our break time. We might also get a few new appliances for the kitchen, the bread toaster needs replacement plus the wife wants a coffee maker at home. Thinking of shopping gives me a headache already, I suggested we buy these things after the Christmas rush which is not too far from this week.

A friend talked to me yesterday about how to buy gold bullion. He is the latest addition to all our friends who have been investing on precious metals such as gold and silver. They are so into this business that they are still not tired of convincing me of how profitable this can be. They started from scratch without knowing anything with the business, only the fact that they know they can rely USGB with everything especially the buying of authentic gold and silver. I told my friend, I will be saving up and maybe when I reach 35, I can invest like them. Life is not a joke in our country and with the roller coaster ride with the economy, I think one should really think of a best way to earn extra to secure his future and his family’s.

My wife just won’t stop sharing her blessings and I am grateful with all my heart for every experience that she shares with me, our son and our families. I was supposed to look for some industrial computers for the office this weekend but I asked my wife not to go online just to have fun and have some relaxation with us in the hotel where she planned us to have an overnight stay with everybody in her family and of course, I should stay away from the net as well so we didn’t bring any laptop and we just enjoyed each other’s company. I ended up cramming today for the computers but last week was so much fun, in celebration of our 5th anniversary… here are some photos…
