Stereo Upgrade

Sep-6-2010 By nitrousworx

Upgraded my old Clarion tape deck car stereo with an In-dash CD Pioneer stereo.  Got it used from a forum member which also upgraded his stereo. It’s in tip-top working condition. The CD plays fine and it has a 45W x 4 rating for the stock speakers compared to the old Clarion stereo which rate at 25W if I’m not mistaken. I also replaced my Boschmann 6×9 rear speakers with Sansui Coaxial 4-way speaker system.

The New Upgrade

We Love Movies

Sep-6-2010 By nitrousworx

We went watching Cats and Dogs last weekend and my son loved the movie. He behaved inside the theater throughout the movie. We had to wait for the first showing though and had to wait in line to buy some tickets. I just wish we can get theater tickets prior to the showing of the movie. In the US, gotickets.com is very popular and my cousins go online to buy tickets all the time. It’s a time saver plus you can see all the movies and show times so you can plan your day ahead. It is a lot of help especially if you have a toddler in tow plus no fuss standing too long in line. We had to wait 30 minutes to buy the tickets then we went in line too to enter the movie theater. Too much wasted time if you ask me.

Trip to US

Sep-5-2010 By nitrousworx

A friend of mine at work will soon be traveling with his family in California and he plans a hiking trip with his family and his brother’s who now resides in California and he wants to buy a baby carrier since he will be taking his 1 year old son along and I told him that Deuter has great backpacks and baby carriers. I knew this as a fact because we had one when our son was still a baby, it was a very nice gift given to us. Anyway, he will be leaving next month and is taking a month and a half long leave from work. I envy him, hopefully we can visit our brother who lives in Georgia next year. No hiking trip for us, but I am very excited to see my Kuya again.

1st Upgrade for Boxie

Sep-5-2010 By nitrousworx

I was looking at Ferrari cars online and wondered how much do Ferrari parts cost these days?!? Came across Ricambi America and thought if I am rich, these parts from their site are not bad at all, they are very reasonable, I was surprised. As to my real world, I have my own toy car, not very luxurious as a Ferrari but I’m happy. So, this is my first upgrade for Boxie. I just installed an old school third brake light which is located on the rear windshield of the car. This is a must for all old school car because not only it can help other drivers know your stopping but it’s an added “Coolness” for the car. I bought it from a local car accessories shop at around $20. As for the wiring, I just tapped it from the car’s brake lights wiring.

This is what I installed.

Thank Goodness

There are days when I wish we have a dehumidifier at home. My son has colds, not the severe one but when he has it, he finds it hard to sleep sometimes. He gets really clingy and he wakes up almost every hour or so just to sleep comfortably again and I think a dehumidifier will help. Right now, he is doing okay. Thanks to my wife who massages him with herbal oil every night, for always reminding me to have him drink tons of water while I was the one who watched him last week. Yeah, his nanny is not yet here. He got better, a little coughing here and there but I think he doing well. We even found time to go out and have some fun on my birthday!

Lussori Pieces

Sep-4-2010 By nitrousworx

My wife loves watches and she is beaming about IWC Watches. The precious and rare timepieces at Lussori, a very luxurious store in downtown Los Altos, California. The store offer high-end watches and jewelries that any wife will be happy to have. Their 10 years of experience serving discriminating clients thought them great edge with the competition of selling authentic rarest pieces.

I am no expert when it comes to jewelries and watches but my wife who loves these gave me an idea of how much these pieces cost and I must say, they are very expensive but when you read their specifications and what they are made of, you can say that each piece is an investment, can be an heirloom that you can give your children.

Toshiba’s SD Card

Sep-4-2010 By nitrousworx

We need one and from what I read from this article. Toshiba claims that it is the fastest SD card.

In today’s HD Video obsessed market, write speed is as important as storage size since cameras are writing tremendous amounts of digital data onto those SD cards. And Toshiba’s cards are claiming blazing read/write speeds of 95mbps and 80mbps respectively. Think about that for a minute. My first hard drive as 20 megabytes. This card can write four times that much EVERY SECOND. And with that kind of speed, videographers will also be able to enjoy faster transfer speeds once USB 3.0 is all the rage.

My Birthday Gift

Sep-4-2010 By nitrousworx

I know I should be reading this healthcare jobs list that my wife asked me to read for her because she needs my opinion but I can’t concentrate because I am looking at my birthday gift pictures. Who gave the gift to me? Actually it’s from ME. Thanks to my wife and kuya for supporting me. I traveled all the way to Angeles just to get this baby. It’s a lowered 1982 Old School Mitsubishi Lancer “Boxtype”. It has a nice paint indeed, a metallic British racing green. The car has 1400cc engine which I plan to change to a 4g63 2.0L engine in the future. It has 15 inch Hartge Rims with low profile tires (50 series), a Powerflow muffler, a turbo light, and an original Foha Rear Spoiler. Take a peek!

A Sign for Investment?

Aug-27-2010 By nitrousworx

A friend yesterday gave me a rare gold coin which is in his collection. I instantly thought that this can be a sign that I should already invest like my friends who are now earning more from their gold coins investment. Buying gold has been recognized for centuries now and it has always been the status symbol for wealth and power. Though I am not going for too much power, of course I want myself and my family to live a comfortable life so a little extra on the wealth side will not hurt. I can send my son to great schools, have our own house, start our dream real estate business, take my family to trips and help others who are in need. Some of my friends fulfilled their dreams with the help of the US Gold Bureau and I am thinking of doing the same thing. Maybe I will keep this coin for awhile, to remind me that there is a prospect investment that is waiting for me.
